So many of you know that I bought a necklace to wear to my class reunion that matches my dress and new shoes. Well, I have to return the necklace and earrings to JCPenney’s. This is such a strange but freaky story. I ordered the necklace and earrings online and when I got them, I decided to wear the necklace to work to see how I like it. So I had been at work for like an hour when Amy looks at me and says something like “Oh my goodness, what happened to your neck?!?!?!?!!”. I didn’t know what she meant but went to the bathroom to discover these long red marks all over my neck.
I took the necklace off and it took all night and the next day for the marks to go away. So I thought I’d try wearing it one more time and see if it was an allergic reaction or something. So one day when I was at home, I wore it around the house and didn’t have any problems. So then this last Friday, I started getting ready and put it on and within minutes, the lines were there. I probably would have continued to think it was just an allergic reaction but when I took it off, red paint got on my hand. So I realized that the paint from the necklace was coming off on my skin and it was defective. I was so bummed because now I need to find new jewelry to go with my dress. I was also concerned because I’m fairly sure it is made in china and what if it has lead paint on it. What if Rylan would have gotten a hold of it and put it in his mouth?! And I was relieved to know it wasn’t my body rejecting the necklace due to an allergy. So I won't be buying any more jewelry online...
