We're sad to say that Grandma McQ* went home to Las Vegas yesterday. We've had a terrible time today trying to adjust and I'm hoping that she can come back soon.. Here's some recent photos to share...

I'm so addicted

I have to apologize for not writing alot this week but I've been a bit busy with family and reading. I have to say that I'm so addicted to the Twilight Saga books. I started reading Twilight Thursday of last week and finished it within 24 hours. Then I read New Moon and now I've finished Eclipse. I'll start Breaking Dawn tonight. I never thought about reading these books but so many people have read them and encouraged me to give them a try. I'm excited to say that I'm glad I did and I want to see the movie when it comes out this weekend. I guess I'm a hopeless romantic... I just love the idea of Edward and Bella!!

Rylan has gone #1 & #2 on the potty!!

Rylan Update: Today's Dr. appt.

Rylan went to see Dr. G* today. We are so thankful that he has such a great doctor. He measured at 27.94lbs and 35.5 inches tall. The doc was very pleased with his progress. He's really grown up in the last month. He says all sorts of new words and is putting short sentences together now. He can point to his ears, eyes, nose, teeth, mouth, shoes and feet without any problems. He's loving his new firetruck car that he got for his birthday. He also went pee in the potty twice this week. I can't believe my little boy is growing up.

Happy 233rd Birthday Marine Corps!!!!

November 10th is a very special day for everyone in our family. Today is the 233rd birthday for the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps was found on November 10, 1775 and is basically known as the president's military branch. They are always the ones assigned to guard the president. The marines have served in every war since 1775. Roger was active duty from 1996- 2000. I felt like posting some awesome marine photos to celebrate this day! Happy Birthday to every Marine out there!! Semper Fi!!!

Rylan's birthday lunches

We have celebrated his birthday quite a bit this week with going out to lunch a few times, watching movies together, having the party, etc... On his birthday, we went to Olive Garden before shopping at Costco etc... They sang to him and everything - it was so much fun! Here's the photos from the week...

Cake Decorating 101

The plan was to have Mom McQ decorate Rylan's birthday cake like she did last year. However, she was sweet and patient enough to teach me how to decorate and gave me her decorating supplies so that I can continue doing this. I'm very grateful for her help and experience. I know it would not have turned out as well if she hadn't been involved... We love you so much Mom!!!



It's 2:00am... 2 exhausted moms and 4 hours of decorating and here's the results. I'm very happy with how nicely it turned out...
